Now that you have a false sense of superiority,
you can begin to interact with your customers in
a manner that suggests total contempt for any

It is essential to make your customers feel ignorant
when they inquire about anything. To make this
mindset easier to attain, imagine that your in depth
knowledge of the videogame industry is universal to
all people and that not having this knowledge would
make a person foolish. Be sure to reinforce your
superiority by being extremely sarcastic.

I agree. But for some reason if i visit one out of my immediate living area they all seem to be like this.

especially when you ask for battletoads.

The last time I bought anything *successfully* at a GameStop was in 2003-I am typing this in 2014. Back then I simply got mocked for my game of choice(Midway Arcade Classics for GameCube). Nowadays, the employees know so little about the games, all purchases are stopped before they're rung up at at the cash register because it ends up being the wrong product.

Avoid GameStop unless you enjoy rudeness and ignorance in equal measures.

I've been to literally over 20 different Gamestops in several different states and this is a close example of how most of the employees act. I haven't run in the sarcasm anywhere but they definitely treat you with disrespect and a total lack of interest in your business. All they care about is saying what they are supposed to say and talking to people who have the same interests as they do. And if you have a problem with any purchase or pre-order or other experience in the store, forget about any further hospitality if there was any to begin with.

Same here I also work for a Gamestop and I honestly think this is a bit over the top, Id say this applies more to the comic book/ tabletop gaming crowd. When they come in to the store they basically do to me what this comic is saying haha.

I work at GameStop....we hate the assholes like that just as much as you do. And they don't typically last very long. One of my favorite things about working there is talking to people about what they like/don't like/don't know about, and I feel pretty great when someone decides to buy a game I recommend, or has a game recommendation for me that I end up loving. No one gives a **** about being surrounded by games, its working somewhere where you get to interact with gamers all day. Part of our job is customer service, so this **** really wouldn't fly. Thanks for making us all look like dicks though >.>

I actually find this more true from the people who work in privately owned game shops. I have only ran into one or two douches at gamestop.
