Ikr?! Only Cabrera could homer on back-to-back at-bats against Mariano Rivera. One being a game tying homer in the 9th inning with 2 outs and 2 striked

He is at least the best hitter, no questions asked.
His fielding is below par and his base running skills are piss-poor.
His production is un-match which is ultimately the most important quality a player can have but talent wise, I would prefer a healthy Matt Kemp, Mike Trout, or even Bryce Harper.

If i had to pick for the future. Ofcourse I would take Trout and Harper, they're going to be superstars. But if I needed a player for one at-bat or one season. I would take Cabrera every single time. It's looking like he might be one of the best hitters of all time.

And also I know my argument showed why he was the best hitter, which you already stated before, but this is my argument as to why he's the most valuable player in the Major League

Cabrera is the most consistent player in the game, night in and night out. Who cares if his defense is poor? I've seen him make a ton of good plays at 3rd base, and if it is really that much of an issue, he could just DH like Ortiz. I think it'd be crazy to pass up an in-prime Cabrera for someone like Trout or Harper who have not 100% proven they can keep putting up big numbers. Depending on your team needs, that is. If your team is low on prospects and is struggling and needs to build for the future, sure, of course I'd take one of those young stars. But if I have depth in solid, young players, and I'm competing night in and night out for a division title, I'm taking Miguel Cabrera 10 times out of 10. He is currently hitting .363 with 42 homeruns and 126 ribbies. I don't think Trout nor Kemp nor Harper will/could match those numbers, even in their prime. He is on pace to CRUSH his last season numbers, where he even won the triple crown! He is quickly catching Davis in the HR category, and when/if he does, that's 2 consecutive seasons with a triple crown victory, and would make him a top-10 all-time hitter, with his career being far from over. May I mind you that Cabrera is at 75% (health-wise) and is still out-hitting EVERYONE in the MLB? I think I'd prefer a 75% Miguel Cabrera with a man in scoring position and 2 outs in the 9th. And yeah, I think I'd prefer Miguel Cabrera over anyone else currently active in the majors.
Go Tigs

I love how the umpire has to immediately defend his ruling. No one cared he did a flip. They just don't think its fair.

He has to defend the ruling because in most baseball leagues diving over the catcher is illegal and the runner should be called out. I don't know the specifics of this league however.

Its the fact that no one took time to catch their breath. and on earth would that be illegal?

Diving gives an unfair advantage to the runner. The catcher is left in an untenable situation if the runner can dive. If the catcher stands to prevent a dive, the plate is unprotected from a slide. If the catcher crouches to block the plate from a slide, he is vulnerable to the dive. By removing the dive, it at least gives the catcher the ability to defend against a run scoring. Most youth league, however, will allow the runner to hurtle the catcher as long the runner maintains an upright posture. A hands first dive is most likely not legal in any league in the US.

I don't really understand baseball but can't the baseman touch his base with the ball to get him out instead of touching him with the ball to get him out?

Its a bit more complicated. That is only if the runner is forced to run, lets say if someone is running from second to third. 2 people cannot be on third, so he is forced home.

continuing on to what the other dude said, the tag is necessary unless all the basses behind the runner are occupied by other runners. If you think about it, this runner here could just run back to third base because no other runners behind him are occupying it. He chooses not too though, cause otherwise he'd be stuck and he'd definitely get tagged out.

no because there were no runners behind him forcing him to go so the catcher had to tag him.

He is only out if another runner ran to the plate he just came from, otherwise he could just run back to third base and be okay.
