For those that don;t know what is happening, the video frames are interleaved starting from the bottom. So instead of the entire image changing to reflect each frame, each horizontal line displays the frame x  frames before the lowest line's frame, where x is the vertical position of the line.    
   
I made a gif to illustrate, where each block is a horizontal line in the image.   
   
TL;DR I spent more time than i should have on this gif.

You seem to know about this, any idea where I might be able to find a way to do this without having to delay it manually? Perhaps a workflow for some program, or an online converter?

Thats pretty cool, it took me a few runs of the gif to finally get it. I wish you would make things like this and post them.
