Had the weirdest maths teacher.

When we were learning about asymptotes, he decided that the best way to describe it was by leaning real close to one of the girls in the class and say "An asymptote is like a christian schoolgirl, you can get close, and closer, and closer, but never touch."

A common misconception, a function can cross its asymptote. And there is no limit to how many times or how often.
