not exactly, you can't make up facial features, people you see in dreams are mash-ups of people you have seen in real life, the same way you can dream of a mash up between different areas of your city, or even mash ups between video games...

But even that's not true. Anything you can imagine, you can dream about. I've never seen any person, real or fake, with a perfectly square-shaped nose. But that could appear in a dream of mine.

but you have at one time seen an image of a person with a square nose, even if it was while you were creating a character from some video game.

Your mind would then take the shape of that nose and apply realistic features to it such as skin and bone.

I haven't though. Believe it or not, it is possible for you to use your brain and imagine things that you haven't actually seen before.

imagining things while concious still counts as "seeing" it though...

Ooh well if you look at it that way then you're totally right. You have to be conscious to imagine something new in your mind, but while you're sleeping your brain can only make dreams with things that you have seen or consciously imagined before. Is that what you're saying?

So we can dream up entire worlds full of magical **** but not the vague interpretation of a human? Seems legit.

Even all the objects and magic in those worlds are ones you know of, but had you been living in a dark room your whole life then even your dreams would be black

No. In order to not ruin my likings I only watch porn of women that don't resemble my real life taste too much.
