My dog Casey died this way...
>Walking Casey
>Come back into the apt (our building has an elevator)
>Thinking about school, girlfriend, depression, ********
>Absentmindedly leave leash on Casey
>She starts to get strangled inside the elevator
>I can't ******* get the leash for what seemed like forever
>She dies of a crushed windpipe later
>Cry into her fur all night at the vet
>She was always my best friend, I remember getting sent to my room when I was 6 and telling her "You're the only one who understands me!"

Today I always take the leash off of my new dog and wait for the doors to close before even pressing a button, but more importantly I try to live life free of overthought, just action and freedom from my own mind. It's what Casey would want, it's how she lived. Casey, it was a ******* tragedy that you died, and I'm so sorry. I love you.

She was definitely holding onto the handle tightly, so if she had a rope-like handle with no plastic for the leash, you would think that she would think that she would just release it, allowing it to slip through the elevator doors.

Just imagine how the woman felt when the leash went loose and not being ablt to see her dog
User avatar #56 - awesomesaucy (05/31/2013) [+] (3 replies)
Why, as the person holding the leash, would you not let go. Did that person honestly think that by holding on the dog would somehow end up back in the elevator?
User avatar #58 to #57 - thenukecity (05/31/2013) [-]
He was talking about the person in the elevator.
