I think the German teams have the backing of most of England this year. We're sick of the Spanish teams now, Dortmund and Munich bring something fresh.

Yeah.
Fair play we beat Spartak Moscow, and even Barca.
But we lose badly to Juventus in the champions

MFW whoever wins gets the prize and eurofags realize they have to go back to reality (crisis)

PS: I'm in fact an eurofag, your argument is invalid

Actually, I think it's pretty clear that the next World Cup will be won by the host country.

I'm German myself, but I think there is no realistic chance that a European country will win the next World Cup.

Three out of for semifinalists in WC 2010 were European countries. Despite it being played in Brazil, there are obviously several European countries who have a reasonable chance.

Mainly Spain, Germany and Holland, but also countries like Italy, England and Portugal can challenge if they hit form.

Whereas outside of Europe there's only Brazil and Argentina who have a reasonable chance. Uruguay at a stretch. And then sometimes we have an Asian country who do well, but never seriously challenge to winning it.

There'll never be a 'clear' winner before a World Cup has started. There'll be favourites, sure, but never a clear winner.

Not to forget it's not always the most talented or best team winning a cup, evident by England's sixth best team winning Champions League last year. In leagues the best team pretty much always win, but in cups there are more room surprises. (Just like England or Portugal wouldn't have a chance if the WC was a league competition, but as it's a cup they both have good enough teams to have an outside chance.)

Are you willing to bet on it? I would be willing to bet a five digit Euro sum on Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Actually, even the manager of the German team shares my opinion. I think if I bet on Brazil with a bookmaker, the odds will really suck, as practically all experts have converged on Brazil, so I'd be happy to find anyone who will bet against me.

I'm sorry but did you really just call Chelsea England's 6th best team? I'm no Chelsea supporter (Newcastle until I die, unfortunately) but they certainly ain't the 6th best team in the league. They've won the league 3 times and they're currently on course to challenge for second place in the league, sure they had a bad year last year but they're definitely not 6th best.

Much like your team Newcastle were fifth best last season, for example, but this season they're much worse.

Last season they finished 6th in the league. So last season, when they won CL, they were the sixth best team in England.

The fact that they've won the league previous seasons really doesn't matter when talking about last season and last season only.

This year they're on their way to do better and probably won't be sixth best this season but last season they were. H
