I don't know if this is fake or actually Bruce Lee but very few people know why he is so respected and idolized in China. As many know, there are kung-fu temples around China, and the master of the temple must accept any challenger. Bruce Lee became so good at kung-fu that he went around to lots of temples in China and challenged each of the masters; and won every single time. He literally lived his life like a video game.

camera flash made me think he was shooting lightning out somewhere

That wasn't a camera flash. Bruce Lee's punch was so fast that it exceeded the speed of light and momentarily fractured the space-time continuum.

Bruce was the best that ever lived, but that didn't look much like six inches to me.

Bruce Lee, I'm sorry to say, was not the best who ever lived. There are tens, hundreds, maybe even thousands (I doubt that, but I'm giving a wide range because idk) of martial artists better than him, but most stay holed up in monasteries. Bruce Lee was the best at what he did, without a doubt, but that was making martial arts films and sticking up for himself in a racist America (e.g. he was the guy who thought of the idea for the Green Hornet original tv series, but they refused to cast him as the main character because he was asian). I'm not dissing Bruce, btw, I just want to say that just because he gets more publicity does not mean that hes better than everybody. And we're talking modern time. If we go back between 500 and 1500 years, you'll find that there are so many martial artists that would have been better than Bruce Lee (masters, grandmasters, etc) that it's not even funny. Im sorry, but I just wanted to point that out. Bruce Lee himself was a great person, humble, kind and determined, but he was not the best martial artist who ever lived.

That is not a 6" punch. His right hand is like 2' away from the guy.

I could punch someone from that exact distance onto that exact same chair away on that flooring and have it give the same effect, The man is literally landing on the chair after being pushed/shoved, and they are on a basketball court

That was more like a 15 inch punch, slowly lag at the 8 inch mark and go all the way for the rest...

So it was just a punch

Throwing your fist forward with force is a punch.

I've heard a Chuck Norris joke about the one-inch punch being able to knock someone down.
It's hilarious knowing that Bruce Lee probably inspired that joke.
I respect Norris, but I don't think anyone will ever top Bruce Lee.

Bruce Lee is nothing compared to his teacher who litrely beat the **** out of the Japanese soldiers who invaded his village in the second world war and pushed them out and then beat the **** out of the best British boxer in our history seriously he was the best martial artist ever he even had his own type of kung fu and there are three films dedicated to him. Ip Man.

Wing chau existed before Yip Man. It has been used by the soldiers protecting a streach of the great wall for the last few hundred years or so. It was created by a woman, designed to fight people larger or stronger than the user. By legend, the woman who created it did so to fight her arranged husband. If she won (which she did), she wouldn't need to marry him.

The purpose of this was to demonstrate that a large wind up wasn't necessary for a high amount of force. He is also trying to demonstrate the important of putting your weight behind your blows. He shows the 3 inch punch, and the 1 inch punch in this demonstration, if this is the same one I'm thinking of.

This is between 6 and 8 inches, done on hard wood to mitigate the chances of the guy hurting himself from a fall, but still demonstrating the power behind it.
+1

Is it just me or does it look like the guy that got punched is in on the "act"? like he pushes himself back first with his right foot, then quickly with his left, and then again with his right, and then lifts up his feet entirely in order to keep the momentum of the push going, and he also throws his head back unrealistically when he lands on the chair.

don't get me wrong, the punch probably hurts like hell and is probably one of the best, but if ur gonna show it off, don't ******** it's power with cheap tricks like that.

...and how the hell did the cameraman know exactly when to take the picture?
