Hi! My name is Ben.
There is a cat outside of my window.
He is smiling at me.
... really.
I don't know what to do.
I tried to scare him away, but his smile just gets wider.
... Please,... help.
It is indeed the worst hand, but if you look at the bottom right youll see that there is a straight already in play. check means "im still in but i will not commit money", meaning he bet 0 dollars and now has to decide if he wants to put his money down
this picture is just wrong
It says the pot is 0 even though they are already on the river and it says they both have 0% chance of winning the hand
but in response to what you asked, yes having pocket aces (meaning those are the cards you are dealt) is better than 2-7, but as the river gave them both a straight (jack through 7) the guy with the aces would win as he would have the high hand
Ivey (with the pocket aces) would not win the hand. Since there is a straight on the board, they would both be "playing the board" and would both have a straight, so the pot would be split.
well thank you, I can't really believe I forgot about splitting pots
there is just one things I've never really understood and that was how sidepots work
