Quick Q: Would you be playing this on PC or console? PC is generally the experience most people refer to when they speak of BF3 as amazing, because you have massive games there.
Console it's still a relatively remarkable experience, but it's not really much like what people refer to.

(sorry for the late response)
Depending on how good your laptop is, it could play some games, but there's no way in hell you'd be able to play BF3 on it, because of how massive the games are (We're talking 63 man battles).
Nonetheless, a console experience of BF3 isn't too shabby, speaking from personal experience, but you won't help but find the taste isn't anything like the hype compares it to (then again, what ever does compare to its hype?)
