I don't get why they chose Seth MacFarlane for this and expected him to be this sophisticated man who'd make it great, they know what he stands for and what he loves to do.

It's like they chose him just for the pure fuck of it so they could write shit about him in the news later.
Seth MacFarlane is a great man, in his own way, they even said that before they even let him have the job, he was pretty 'unfunny' to them, so why!? I actually regret not watching the oscars just to watch Seth MacFarlane be awesome.
