Seth McFarlane, Iron Man approves. So I'm just assuming Seth MacFarlane was found to be a bit offensive last night... Doesn't matter. Iron Man liked it... This was during the chris brown beats rhianna joke. I don't get why they chose Seth MacFarlane for this and expected him to be this sophisticated man who'd make it great, they know what he stands for and what he loves to do.

It's like they chose him just for the pure **** of it so they could write **** about him in the news later.
Seth MacFarlane is a great man, in his own way, they even said that before they even let him have the job, he was pretty 'unfunny' to them, so why!? I actually regret not watching the oscars just to watch Seth MacFarlane be awesome.

its pretty obvious he was asked to do it to attract a new younger demographic and somewhat reinvent the oscars

They wanted to combine the formality of the oscars with a sleek edginess that would attract a wider audience and provide a different kind of humour. Hence, a man in a tuxedo insulting everyone

It's the same with British awards.

They hired Ricky Gervais to host it, And he just tore all the actors to shreds.

Not the Brit awards, I just meant some awards ceremony in Britain.

I don't know which one though

It was funny when the camera focused on the people MacFarlane mentioned when he was doing that song.

Would've been much more funnier if those focusses were live...because they weren't.

I don't know what you meant by that, because the show was live.

The show was live, but those focused moments weren't. Their dresses, haircuts and other stuff didn't match. So there reactions weren't live. Recorded before or cut out from previous awards. Example: Charlize Theron wore a white dress that night. When they showed her "reaction", her dress was pitch black.

Well that makes sense because that "We Saw Your Boobs" number was also pre-recorded. Not only was it brought up on a screen, but MacFarlane

A. Stood off to the side during it
B. Would've been out of breath if he had performed it live

It wouldn't have made any sense to just pre-record their reactions.

Oscars would have been more awesome with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, though they would probably have received so much hate for making fun of every single one of them.
