I guess i got a relevant enough story. At some point in my junior year in ROTC, we were practicing marching drills up in the Gym. I was a Company Commander at the time, and towards the end of the period i dismissed my cadets to play basketball or do homework or whatever they felt like.

So there was this thing, a green-mesh-net with a hole in it, hung up on a frame on a wrestling mat. I think it's used for practice aiming footballs precisely? Either way, some of my cadets were taking flying leaps through the hole, tucking and rolling on the mat, and getting to their feet! Eventually everyone had tried it, with only a few kids mashing their face into the net or tripping up on the roll, nothing serious.

Eventually they all urged me to give it a try. When i did, my foot snagged the bottom of the net as i passed through at full speed, swung me sideways, at which point my face hit the hardwood of the gym floor and i bit clean through my lower lip.

Not internet fame worthy like the gif above, but yeah, same kind of foot-snag.
