I'm confused by this. Superman might be indestructible but his clothing isn't... The bullets should have still done some damage to his clothes...

It's skin tight so it may have left a slight, temporary mark, but until it dents the skin, there would be no damage to his clothes.

But if you were to put a piece of cloth over a thick sheet of steel and shoot it, the bullet would still tear the fabric slightly. I just find it unrealistic that his outfit has no visible damage at all. Hell, even a tank would have some visible damage if you shot at it, even if it was just cosmetic damage.
