Try equipping 'Balloon' spells, and at least two Curagas. Fight him as you would any other enemy, until you start taking too many hits for comfort. Then, use Flowmotion to leap away and recuperate, bust out a heal spell (it's good to stock a spare in case he interrupts you), then cast them funky balloon magics. They work remarkably well.
