It's not so much where they are as it is what the bears represent. The bears are beings that thrive on the interactions and love of others. Science has found that they if they do not exercise the "OMG! I love waving at people!" gene they tend to become angry and lash out at others. Even their own kind. It's really sad if you think about it.
