Would it not make more sense to build the boat so that it points out to sea and launch it as such so it doesn't do it's best imitation of a Weeble?

The water-way they are launching into can't support a Stern-First launch or they don't have the Stern-First system in place at that Dry-Dock. This method right here is a very common method for ships that traverse waterways/lakes, Most of your deep sea ships now day's are floated out. IE- They fill up the dry dock with water and tug's pull her out.

Most water-ways have spots for ships to turn around in, Or they'll just back out--If you're ever in the Cleveland area in the summer-time you'll see 600 footer ships go up the cuyahoga river--There's no spot to turn around unless they take it to the end, SO they just back it all the way out.

Sounds like too much work. The obvious solution is to make boats have motors on both sides and make it be able to go backwards and forward interchangeably.

They can back out just fine using the main engine's, How we did it in Cleveland is just back up, use our Stern and Bow thrusters for steering and post look outs on the stern and bow. Though most fairies have the dual engine system.
