the cap actually has nitro-glycerine in it so it will explode by a strong blunt force ie: firing pin igniting the propellant. (also explains why sometimes dropping rounds can make them go off)

No, I'm 99% sure it just creates a spark, and the spark ignites the gunpowder.

The primer is a small charge of an impact-sensitive or electric-sensitive chemical mixture that can be located at the centre of the case head (centerfire ammunition) A firing pin strikes the primer and ignites it. The primer compound deflagrates (that is, it rapidly burns), it does not detonate. A jet of burning gas from the primer ignites the propellant.

so i did some googling....

In reference to centerfire catridges, the primer is located in the center of the headstamp, and is the first "combustible" component in the firing series. The "spark" then travels down the flash hole of the catridge igniting the powder charge inside. we're basically stating the same thing only when you say 'spark' you are referring to a burning process because a real spark is a very quick and relatively cold and unreliable way of igniting something

There is a primer on the back of the cartridge that is struck by the hammer of the gun which ignites the gunpowder propelling the bullet from the firing chamber through the barrel out the gun.

I would say the advantage to the kel-tec PF-9 (shown above) would only be for those not going to train a Tap, Rack, Bang drill. so in the situation the bullet doesn't go off you can just keep panicking and pulling the trigger which repeatedly drops the pin on the primer.

I don't think that's his intended point. I think he's talking about how when any gun post comes up everyone on this site becomes an expert of gun types, gun models, gun workings, and so forth. Most of the time it's not provoked by a question it's just a comment that goes "that looks like a [insert gun here] with its rate of fire." Then someone else will come and be like "No. Clearly by the design you can tel it's [insert gun here]."
