This is for all the people that think that we should restrict guns, either by style or out right banning. The Second amendment is as follows: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. It sounds like it is just for forming an insta-army right? That is just a small picture of what they wanted. Remember what was happening at that time. Revolution and freeing ourselves from England. Getting rid of a government that was over taxing and not representing us. When the revolution was completed and we needed to start our own government, the Founding Fathers wrote out a series of laws that would prevent the government from getting to big and not letting The People be free. I will now leave a series of quotes from a few of the men who lived in that time during and after the signing of the Constitution. If there are any replies please do it after all the quotes so others can join in on the discussion properly.

“It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from its government.” - Thomas Paine

“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms.” – Thomas Jefferson

“A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.” – George Washington
“Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined…The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun.”
– Patrick Henry

“The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States.”
– Noah Webster, “An Examination into the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution (1787

“When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” - Thomas Jefferson

I have more but my mouse is going crazy.
