i'd say you can start with Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth then Prelude to Deadpool Corps and then Deadpool corps for some good short series. I have way too many deadpool comics. I started collecting about 2 years ago and I already have almost every deadpool appearance in comics from 1991-2001

i sold my copy of new mutants #98 though for around $170, it was a cgc at around 9.4 or 9.6 i forget. I bought it for about a 3rd of that. a lot of my collection has been just digging through comic book stores, yard sales, and flea markets looking for anything deadpool. I went to this one store and they were talking about how they had the first two deadpool miniseries that they just got that day. The guy said "we'll sell them by the end of the day I bet" he was right

I ended up buying The Amazing Spider Man issue 700 and superior spiderman issue 1 :P

i have spiderman #31 first appearance of harry osborne and gwen stacy. one of my few great key issues in comic history

My friend who is also an avid comic collector has that issue as well :)

other than that, my prized possesions in my collection are a few mint copies of watchmen, the watchmen leather hardcover, watchmen cover portfolio, and a few early avengers

the only avengers stuff I have is Avengers Arena which is fairly new from Marvel Now

i got some early issues like #35, #65, and #98. also got xmen #47. the old ones, got them pretty cheap too. sadly only #98 is in pretty great shape. rest are decent

I'd go for anything that is NOT written by Daniel Way. He's a shit writer.

Cable and Deadpool is the best one you'll find.
