I tried that with my mother's cats. They noticed that my body was a good heat source and got on top of me.
I was just a heated pillow to them.

I could've sworn I read somewhere that cats are one of the many species that can tell when something or someone is legitimately dead or alive. So this feline bastard knew he was faking. But, if he really did die, there is no doubt the cat would still not give a fuck.

new kitten, female. named Amber. She has this old stuffed tiger (named Hobbes) that she carries around like its her child. she loves the fucker. arranges him on pillows, drags him around by a paw, the works. i had just fallen on the stairs and banged up my knee pretty bad.
She dragged hobbes over and dropped him on my lap
She gave me her goddamned CHILD to cheer me up

That's funny. Everything my cat says translates into "Feed me" or "Kick me in the face."

I once fell off my skateboard and pretended i was hurt and my dog charged over to me, sat down beside my and was looking around for other people to come. Fucken love that furry sonofabitch.

My one cat is slowly dying of starvation because he has some sort of gum cancer so he can barely eat even wet food.
