That's why i love Lord of The Rings acting better
In the trilogy (probably the hobbit too) in most all of the fighting scenes they were actually fighting and hitting people, throwing real blows and full force hits. The directors would have to stop filming because they were fighting too hard and people were getting hurt. The actor who played Gimli in particular was especially bad about throwing really hard punches and hits into the stuntmen playing urakai. At the battle of Amon Hen (where Boromir dies) next to the old ruins with the stairs the stunt men kept dodging and wincing at his swings because he was so rough
