Balls were thrown up into the air and then once they came back down and they hit the ground, which is cleverly left out of the shot, it was cut to a completely different clip of footage which is at first played backwards until the point some balls were hanging from strings or some shit before being cut loose. Once they spelled 2013, the footage was reversed BACK to being played forward.

Clever shit.
