Love the car,not really the body kit on it. Im not big on Japanese imports(as I love American muscle) but theres some that I can go with.

Is it running or do you gotta work on it? I plan on turning my truck into a weekend warrior truck with dirt racing. Kind of like a Trophy truck,but still to drive on the streets

i tore that kit off the day i got it runs/drives 100% and i got it real cheap! im planning on making a full drift spec road legal car out of it! i dont know alot about trophy trucks caus im irish and we dont have that here, but in the Dirt series games its awesome! you should get a holden ute if you want a pickup drift car, i think theyre ls1 or ls2's in them!

I have a 1965 Chevy Corvair 110 4 door,I plan on taking the Getrax transaxle from a Pontiac Fiero and dropping a supercharged 350 small block in the back. Looking into maybe overboring or making it a stroker engine. Not sure yet,gotta find a nice quality used block thats not got cracks and 			****		 in it.

just looked up a corvair, that thing is badass, but why would you put the engine in the back? it would dramatically change the handling! it took porsche about 15 years to get it right! id love to put a 1jz my car its a 2.5 twin turbo, but they cost about €2000 thats a little over 3000 USD, the whole car cost me €2400!! ive never even seen a stroker running but im sure its far more expensive than boring it out!

Better handling with it in the back,I intend on it to be a street sleeper daily driver. I dont want people to think I can tear the doors off their car,and it tends to have the cops to be quiet as well.

Ive driven a few Corvairs(the Spider was my favorite) and they handle amazingly well,and they did kick the **** out of the same era Porsche's.

Oh of course they did. Was designed to compete with Volkswagen's Beetle and the imports from Japan. Aircooled and very light on its feet so to speak give it great handling.

I could probably beat a Viper for the first 10M but after that it would probably smoke me :P

haha doesnt take much to smoke a beetle but i suppose it is a 65! you should theres a video on youtube of some who puts really simple supercharger kits on like a regal and other crap and he was making more power than cobra mustangs so you shouldnt have any trouble smoking exotics with a little bit of tuning! just type in sleepers and its like the 3rd video!

Theres a team working on an all electric Corvair,its pretty awesome.

Ive seen a few Corvairs with a V8 conversion done,they flip the transmission forward and then mount a small block on it,you lose the rear seats,but you have a sporty fast car You need to login to view this link looks and works better with the two door body styles.

A Yenko Stinger is nice too,but those are getting incresingly rare to even see.

id go withe v8 conversion screw the back seats, if you really want to go nuts you coud put a blower up through the ceiling and put a vent on it so its not visible!, not sure if the engine would sit forward enough though it probably sits under the rear glass so that wouldnt work too well! how do they keep the engines cool in the back? front mounted motors have plenty of air flow but the rear mounts are just stuck in the trunk!

They make underbody scoops and leave most of it open,and then they mount the radiator and cooling for hte transmission,oil,etc in the "trunk" of the car.

and if your wondering what i drive, im in the process of taking a 240sx off of my friends hand. its the one on the left. it has an sr20 with a single turbo that he installing along with with a new intake, and it already has a limited slip diff. All in all, itll be pushing around 300hp which is enough because with the striped interrior it is light enough for our local track.

Love the thumbs guys, but seriously, in this picture it looks like a ricer, the kits probably does nothing to decrease drag and probably adds weight. Those rims are okay, but your probably not going to drift in those. And i doubt that is a carbon fibre hood, just looks like a normal hood with primer, and if i could get it at the right price i would have bought that too. And believe me, i was not spouting hate of any sort, the 180/ 240sx are my favorite cars exspecially with sr20's. When it comes to cars i know exactly what im talking about. Hope it looks better when your done with it.

like i said the body kit was actually ripped off the car straight away and is sitting in my garage, so is that horrible spoiler, the rims look ok in the photo but are actually completly destroyed the chrome is all rashed and the spokes are all chipped so i will be using them for drifting, the hood is fibreglass its really light but the black has faded to matt and il be selling it, its a sr20det engine and i got the car dirt cheap so i couldnt say no! the car lookes completly **** in the photo and IRL, but it was bought for the sole purpose of a rebuild so i dont care, and i hope it looks better when im done with it too! im hoping it will look something like this, without the big gay wing and different rims!

well at least we can agree on the bodykit being hideous, its off the car now its a SR20DET 2.0L TURBO. its factory output is around 200bhp, At the minute with some mods on it its running around 300bhp but it can go to over 400bhp with factory internals. not bad for a banger. Now could you upload a pic of your car so i can also play the hate game?

who the **** cares if its japanese? it's a car. it has the same purpose as a ford, or a chevy, what difference does it make if its from a different country? and i bet he would do more in that car than you could ever do in your american **** car.

I don't think he was implying japanese cars were crap at all. He called it a ricer, which just means like a car with ground effects, loud exhaust, other tweaks that add to looks and sound but not really performance. Usually ricers are imports, that's true, but he was not saying all imports are crap. Additionally, the "my new drift project" comment sort of proves that its not a ricer at all, considering significant performance changes need to be made to create a good drift car. Either way , he should not be criticizing, everyone has their own preferences. he probably drives a **** car anyway.
