Dogs face when owner chose to throw him rather than pick up the gun

The owner was playing the pokemon battle theme in his head when he threw the dog over the counter

I like how at the end the owner is like, "Go get 'im!"

he didn't save his life. If anything that dog could have startled the gun guy enough to shoot him. If you look, the shooter has his gun pointed at the guy still after the dog bites him

Actually, you're stating a 'what if' and not what actually happened. A giant meteor could have crashed down and killed everyone on the Earth. What actually happened in this case was the dog protected it's owner, disarmed the gunman, and chased his little ass out the door? Ya dig?

Speaking as a K-9 trainer, that guy is wearing a bite sleeve, commonly used in training exercises. Pretty sure that's just what this is. I mean, what kind of bad guy tries to stab a guy with a gun and wear a bite sleeve doing it?

Still a badass dog though.

<-- guys fw

And that's why I love dogs! So smart, so loyal, so awesome. When I was younger I used to take my dog with me when I went skating, used get a lot of hassle from security guards and car park attendants and **** . Anyway there was this one asshole who always used to chase us and throw stuff at us when we were skating in this car park, I should mention we were only kids and this dude was like 40. So yeah, we were skating and suddenly the dude comes running with a ******* spade, we all run, he catches up to me, grabs me, my dog turns around and starts barking in his face showing her teeth, then lunges at him. He let me go right away and as soon as he did my dog stopped barking and didn't bite him. He stopped bothering us after that, at least when I had my dog with me anyway.

Any of you guys been in a situation where a dog has protected you?

INB4 tl;dr, cool story bro.

The owner is a coward. His dog was probably kicked to death 30 seconds later.

Because you have a moral obligation to fight someone when you have no idea of whether they have another weapon.
Throwing the dog over made sure the guy ran immediately, without giving him time to pull anything. Anyway, what's with the assumption that the dog is a little lapdog that will lie down and die. It immediately jumped up and bit the man for moving aggressively. And not a pussy bite, it made the guy drop the gun. I'd kinda assume that the dog could take care of itself.
When you keep a dog behind a counter to protect you, refusing the jump over a counter to chase someone off rather than send your capable dog to do it doesn't make you a coward, it makes you smart.
