johndapro (12/15/2012) [-] I experimented a bit with Rainmeter trying to make my desktop look like the HUD for a spaceship, and the final touch was to add a moving background, it looked similar to this.
Was pretty cool and all, but you got motion sickness after a couple if minutes so I turned it off.

Also a fun tip. If you HD footage of flying or space travel (I downloaded and , for instance), then use VLC player to set the HD video as your wall paper (), it gives the illusion of your desktop flying through space. The skins aren't designed for it, but it's still a breathtaking effect.
