I don't get the double standards everyone has for CoD. "It's the same formula every year! There's no innovation!" Really now? Because Fifa, Tiger Woods and every other EA sports game doesn't do that at all. In fact, those games have the least innovation I've ever seen from a franchise! "They only have new maps, new guns and a new campaign!" Then, explain Mario Kart. Every release just adds new maps, new vehicles and maybe new characters. Don't get me wrong, I love Mario Kart to hell, but I'm just irritated at all this talk about CoD having no innovation when there are so many other games out there guilty for the same thing.
I like playing CoD because its basic, sure, but its done well. I don't know about you guys but I'd rather have a simple game done well, then a complicated game done shitty.
And yeah, IGN is a website that's a complete sellout. Just like Gamespot. I read their reviews from time to time just to see what kind of ridiculous claims they can possibly make to justify their scores.
Just stating my opinion. Thumb me down if you have to and if you read through all of this, thank you for taking the time to read my rant.

Halo 4: 9.8
Call of duty Black ops 2: 9.3
Just throwing that out there.

I remember buying Star wars the old republic, and it said that it had 30 days free, as most of MMOs do, i bought it downloaded it and made an account, and went to activate my 30 days, only to find out that i needed a subscription card to activate my "free" 30 days, that's just fucking low

people like CoD because there is an obvious demand for it. if it was unpopular, it would die as a franchise.
in reality, i think that all the fans of big franchises ( CoD, Halo, LoZ, etc...) just want something to fight over inb4 "my game is better cuz your game is stupid! waaa!"
tldr; if there something someone likes, there's gonna be someone to hate it as well.

I actually really enjoy most call of duty games. And I know I might drop down a couple of levels by writing this comment, but the game itself is great. Campaign is always enjoyable and interesting, Zombies/spec ops are fun modes, multiplayer is a unique experience, and the only problem that I have found, other than lag, can be solved by muting.
I haven't played one that deserves a 10/10 yet but I'd give a couple of them a 9/10.
