Only one problem with this, kids don't actually really develop a very good sense of what they want/what is right or wrong until you TEACH IT TO THEM. You can't really ask them to make that choice until you teach them how to make choices, and in the case of people that aren't neutral-minded for the most part/aren't engrossed in their culture, their bringing up of the child will teach them to choose christianity/whatever culture aspect we're talking about in the end.

So you kind of have the problem of: You can't ask them to make choices because you haven't taught them how to make choices but while you're teaching them how you are infallably influencing them with your own views on the world.

I hear that kids don't truly create their own independant ideas/thoughts until the age of at least 12.

Makes sense to me considering how much I idolized a lot about my parents when I was young, they just seemed so smart and knew so much.
Now I can see them for the idiots they are XD But back then I know I would go along with just about anything they told me, despite the fact my parents are very critical/objective thinkers and taught me to be the same.
