Movies made by Disney:
-All of the Disney movies with Pixar (Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., the Incredibles)
-All of the Marvel movies (Avengers, both Ironman, Thor, etc.)
- All of the touchstone pictures movies (Armageddon, all pirates of the Caribbean, who framed roger rabbit)

Stop being faggots just because movies are owned by a kids company.

Disney acquired Marvel and gave us Avangers, did they not?

And think of Disney's pedigree. They don't exactly ever mess up (we'll never mention the straight-to-DvDs).

That, and no one knows what "Episode 7" will be about. There are already books based on the aftermath and the many years that follow, and they're all pretty much fantastic. If they were to "continue" the story, they'd have absolutely no choice but to follow those books, or be shunned by nearly every fan (who at least know of the books).

If they don't continue the movie's storyline, which I'm all for, then they might either delve into past era, such as the Old Republic, or make up their own story, much like Force Unleashed and 1313. With it being Star Wars, making up your own story isn't just plausible, it's entirely accepted and encouraged, so long as you follow the "logic" that Star Wars already sets in place--and even then, you could stretch it far beyond what we've either know.

So, yeah, I'm all for this acquisition. Good ol' George didn't direct or write episode V and VI, both of which received the highest critical acclaim and were most fans' all time favorites, including mine. What he did direct and write entirely, however, were the prequels. While III was pretty good, as well as the end battle in II, none were even close to what we as Star Wars fans wanted out of them.

Midi chlorians? Jar Jar Binks? Droids that were the dumbest pieces of **** in movie history? Need I say more?

Suffice to say, I think it'll work. Disney hosts many Star Wars weekends at Disney World, so someone higher up is a fan of the series.

/2cents.

I'm actually excited about it.

If they can get the original cast back together as well as some new faces, combined with the fact that Disney running the show could give us a completely new look at the Star Wars universe, we could end up with an amazing continuation of an amazing movie saga.

Or we'll see the most shameless flogging of a dead horse ever to grace the silver screen.

Either way, I'm keeping an open mind.

I personally think they should do the Old Republic, with Revan, Malak and Bastilla.

Brilliant move.Disney is a big boy now.
See the Pirates of the Caribbean. And it was 10 years ago.
Imagine what will they do now,as to producing, casting, special FX and You need to login to view this link 3 years time.
And for those that believe (beliebers lol) that this is a ****** move.Star Wars saga was ruined long ago with the second trilogy and as i understand it was ruined by the same person that will not be a part of it now.The very same Lucas. But still the 2nd trilogy is much better than nowdays blockbusters (see Transformers).
So as i see it : George Luca's galaxy + Walt Disney's balls = A bad ************

Disney expects to more aggressively expand the Star Wars film schedule, Iger said in a statement. Following the release of Episode VII in 2015, "our long term plan is to release a new Star Wars feature film every two to three years," Iger said.

Disney

the star wars we knew and loved is officially dead
