We were just studying this - The floating thing is a superconductor, which means that it can conduct anything with no resistance (metals would have atoms in the way, but this doesn't). Then, when put over a track of magnets, if you give it a push it will go around it, only being stopped by air resistance. It's "smoking" because superconductors will only work when they are extremely cold, which is why we don't use them for things such as trains...yet.

That works because the molecular structure of the metal aligns itself to the magnetic field of the static magnets when superconductive, meaning it gets locked in place relative to the magnetic field until manually moved. Since the magnetic field here is equal along a path, that means the superconductive piece of metal is free to move parallel to it, but not in any other direction.

that is not a magnet, that is an electric field. Bosen-Einstein theory: If a thing will get enough close to 0 Kelvin, the quantums will change their movement. And that will do interesting things to items, AMONGST LEVITATION ON ELECTRIC FIELDS

It's a superconductor wrapped in copper and dipped in liquid nitrogen, it floats above magnets freely. Google this shit, you're confusing it with something else.
