The way I play dodgeball, there are three "classes."

Throwers, Guardians and Gatherers
Throwers stay close to the middle line to push the enemy team back. They dodge and catch and try to keep the opponents attention. at all times, taking them out one by one. They also prioritize saving people in jail over taking down opponents

Guardians protect the jail. (if you throw a ball into jail and a teamate catches it, they are free) They commit suicide to stop the jail breaks and need to be saved often. They do not have balls other than what they catch, which should be often.

Gatherers take balls on the ground and from guardians and hand them to throwers so throwers don't have to move back or turn around. They rarely get hit and rarely catch. They are the easiest and most boring class, but the most necessary.

The other guy with the dodgeball is probably a gatherer.

No, funny you said that because in middle school, about 8th grade I did a roundoff back handspring backtuck and landed on the base in our form of kickball, The gym teacher ran up to me, high fived me, and said that was a great demonstration of effort and athelic skill.

I tried doing a dive roll onto the matt in the same game in 10th grade, the teacher said I was out and to go sit out for the rest of class for doing something like that.

I've got the same problem with my gym teacher. I'm in high school and whenever I do parkour, down to the simplest lazy or dash vault, my gym teacher would make me do 25 and tell me that it's way too dangerous and that I should be doing it in a gym, not outside.

My gym teachers never say "drop and give me X" , I wish they did though, my gym class is currently a joke now.

well 15 i think

I started my gymnastics classes when I was 5, but they took all the extra time to get me to pay attention and have good basic form, you should find a gym that gives tumbling classes, It'll focus only on floor and it'll really help you be as awesome as I am.

I wouldn't really put the blame on the teachers, in the world where you can sue anybody for anything, I'm sure some parents would sue the school and teacher if their kid got hurt doing something stupid and that the school wasn't "looking out" for their children's safety. It's all about liability bullshit. I hate living in a world where you have to blame someone else for your suffering. I say let kids do whatever they want, if they fail and get hurt, it is the only way to learn.

I broke my foot fooling around in my Gymnastics Gym and I probably could have made money by saying that he should have been watching me at the time, but I didn't.
