Games are becoming too realistic
| |
I don't get why morons bitch about CoD or Battlefield saying it's unrealistic, I don't play a game for realism, I play it to escape reality. I could be playing as a rabbit who has a gun that shoots teddy bears, I don't care if it's unrealistic as long as I'm having fun.

Parachuting off of that mountain is probably the most fun I have on that map.
Only Battlefield gif I have.

I love BF3, but EA has really been rustling my jimmies lately.
So the original game (when new) cost $60. That's fine--it's just like any other game. But then they charge you to play online. Not a problem for me--I pre-ordered and got the code for free. Moving on: They then offered a Premium upgrade which costs 50 bucks. It includes every current and future map pack (~$20 each) and some weapons, but still--50 fucking dollars. Way too much for me, so I ignore it.
NOW they're offering a Premium Edition of the entire game which you can buy in stores for $60 and it includes the Premium upgrade. It's basically ripping off anyone who bought the original game and upgraded to Premium--which meant paying up tp $110. PLUS the trade-in value of the original game is now about $8 (my friend tried this at Best Buy), so even if you wanted to trade in your orginal edition and buy the Premium version you would still be paying about $50 out of pocket.
I guess good things really do come to those who wait, but god damn if it doesn't slightly irritate me to the point of moderate annoyance. Jimmies definitely rustled.
