I've actually got like 2 copies of each movie and directors stuff on the first and second. All are on VHS unfortunately. So many movies from my childhood I wish I had on dvd.

its just two (or more) pics instead of one taken from slightly different angles so when they play em together rapidly looks liek tha pic is rotating

... this is a total guess but it sounds legit right? xD

Yeah. If your doing it with drawings you have to make sure the foreground and the background move at different rates.
