Sure - children should be tought respect etc and sometimes 'Please don't do that, it's not nice' is much less effective that a quick slap on the butt.

However.

If you see the video, the teacher was embarrassing the girl in front of the class, they were laughing at him poking her in the head etc. I thought teachers had passion to give knowledge to the minds of the future, not demean them infront of their class.
