Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, is a system that requires you to buy healthcare once you turn 26, and if you don't, the federal government will tax you for not doing so in an amount that is the approximate cost of an average healthcare plan. This mandate's purpose is to lower the cost of healthcare via deflation-it works. The Affordable Care Act also contains provisions that are very helpful to the consumer, such as: The ability for a young adult to stay on their parents' plan until age 26, the guarantee that women's healthcare will not cost more than men's simply because it is given to a woman (this happens a lot in some states), the prevention of the ability for insurance providers to deny people healthcare due to pre-existing conditions, companies that provide healthcare for their employees are to be given tax breaks, and also, with the mandate, if someone is too poor to buy healthvcare, the government will provide them with medicaid. The system is designed so that everyone can have access to affordable, effective healthcare. If this sounds bad to you, I don't know what else to say.

except for the fact that obama doesn't think he should be controlled by congress. he has gone over their heads many times. one example is when the cia put guns in the hands of the mexican cartels in order to track them, but the cartels used them to kill some of the us border potrol. congress ordered an investigation and obama stopped them cold, which he is not allowed to do.

Congress has been kowtowing to the Presidency since the early 20th century. Just look at the facts, the Presidency now no longer waits for the advice and consent of congress before deploying troops ANYWHERE. A cold call from the President is enough for any individual congressman regardless of party to bend to his will. I'm not saying the Presidency is too powerful, I'm just saying the powers have shifted. If we're gonna call any single branch the most powerful, it's the courts (or in this case, Supreme Court)

The list goes on and on. This man does not know what he's doing. He can promise and promise, but if he can't get one thing done it doesn't mean squat. He got everything he wanted. He got all the money and funding he wanted.

What people don't understand about Universal Health Care is that yes it works. It works great else where. But, can you honestly say it would work here. Government-mandated procedures will likely reduce doctor flexibility and lead to poor patient care. I can go on and on. But at the end of the day you have to realize Obama talks and some of it sounds great, but he hasn't came through with anything. He's going up for re-election and he has nothing to ride on. He's going on the false illusion of hope and change.
