There are errors with both parties in my view. What upsets me is that you can't have a happy medium anymore. Its not "We're voting for Obama's system plan" or "We're voting for Romney's way of running things" its either democrat or republican. This country, with its vast array of cultures, people, and beliefs, cannot be represented by two parties, that have such definite views nowadays. I know there are others saying the same thing, and that there are other parties, but are they major? No. If history teaches us anything, it's that the United States needs a happy medium of government. We can't give money to those who don't try for it. We can't give tax breaks to the big fat companies, thinking that they'll create jobs for us. We have done both of these in the past, and it didn't work then, it won't work now. I mean, I was an Obama supporter, but this new race, has shamed me beyond belief. I wouldn't vote for either of them even if I was paid to. Fuck this system, I'm thinking of moving back to Switzerland, where government doesn't suck, and fight amongst itself.
TL;DR - United States government is a joke to the rest of the world. Too busy fighting ourselves to solve any shit. We need a change, and not Obama-change or Romney-change, real government change.
Thanks for reading.

You mean programs that seem to work for some reason in every other nation we compete with? Nations that make our taxes look like chump change? How about the fact that Mitt's current set of goals have never worked in any country in modern history? Or the fact that we are the most secure nation in the world due to terrain and yet still feel the need to spend a third of our money on defense? You don't call in tanks to deal with terrorists in our own country. That is what the CIA is for and they have done a damn good job so far.
it's not about personal threats, it's about the whole western world completely disarming themselves in order to move into a socialist system as the more violent of the developing countries cause more and more unrest. No one has the stones to deal with these potential future threats so they all call on America. When the UN stops being a paper tiger then perhaps America can dismantle like the rest of the world...
Also, you seem to think excessive taxation is a good thing... how is that exactly?

That's not republican, that's backwards Catholic. The two don't go hand in hand just because it so happens that they vote republicans in...
Fun Fact: You may think the KKK are all republicans, but guess what... the republican party was started up by anti-slavery activists.

It's my personal belief that military is for personal defense, I don't feel responsible to be the world's police. That's a job for the U.N. however bad they are at it. However, I do understand you point of view. My problem is that I can't see into the future ;)
Well, Obama had control of the legislative branch and the executive branch and any cuts to the military he wanted he could have had. So I think there's a consensus about the range our military spending needs to be in. The Democrats think a little less and the republicans think a little more.
