Wine/Winetricks is a wonderful tool. Though you have to download the Microsoft visual C++ libraries through winetricks first. Simple stuff. I've already walked people through it 2 or 3 times in FJ alone

Ah okay I see what you are doing. Don't worry I get it I'm only a programmer of seven years and a senior college student studying computer science :D The amount of hours I've spent on unix and linux terminals in college is too damn high! I've just never seen that Steam on Linux but I get how you did it. To be honest I was never crazy for linux as my main PC/workstation.

Still I give you props for being a Linux supporter! And considering you know the technical feats to it you must be a "real" Linux user and not just one of those fanboys that uses it because they want to be cool. I used to have it dual boot on my old laptop. I used Ubuntu for a while and then Fedora for a short time. I also have Matriux on a flash drive for computer forensic work.

Exactly, I use it because it's safe, easy, and beautiful (to quote my old wallpaper). It's noticeably faster than windows , especially on startup and it freezes/crashes on me MUCH less often than windows, and I'm a windows power user. I know how to use it to my advantage, but Ubuntu is still easier to me. I've only had my dual boot setup for about 5-6 months now and I'd be all Ubuntu if I wasn't a gamer. I agree with you completely on what you said about Windows, Mac, and Linux too despite my lack of networking experience. I'm taking CNT classes next year though and i'm currently learning python (recently started) and I have plans for java
