Sure, Ash might be a bit of a pussy. Sure, he might not be considered the smartest or most tactical trainer. But in scenes like this, it's almost like those characteristics don't even matter. It's more than clear that he has incredibly strong, unbreakable bonds with his Pokemon; bonds built of love, trust, and understanding. I think bonds like this are something we all strive for in our own lives with those around us. Perhaps that's why most of us have teared up during emotional scenes like this; because we envy the relationships Ash has with his Pokemon.

Yes those scenes in Pokemon are super saddening... but if you have not seen this movie then you do not know the true meaning of feels
