I don't know the whole story, but I believe the guy did get into some trouble. As for this next statement, I don't condone abuse/violence against women, but it does seem like she needed a good smack. It drives me a bit crazy when women play the gender card and at the same time pull out the equality card as well. Make up your mind, ladies. Sorry for the rant, but I just wanted to share a thought or two.

Well him and some friends were at that bar and all the jersey shore people came and blah blah blah he stole some shots and she got mad at him for doing it and i think he was drunk and hit her. He payed a fine or something like that

Talking shit does not = physical violence. As much as I can't stand Jersey Shore or Snooki, you should only use physical force if physical force is being used on you. Saying you shouldn't run your mouth is the same excuse assholes use to beat their women.

There's a difference between the actions that I condone and what the reality of the world actually is. While I wouldn't use violence against someone simply for words (unless their words indicated they were about to use violence on me or a bystander), the truth is that not everyone acts appropriately in those situations.

If you provoke a situation, then you can expect certain reactions. The fact that assault is illegal won't change the fact that some idiot may decide to use violence in response. There are people in the world that don't care if an act is illegal. Why provoke a response when you have no idea what the response will be?

I disagree. If someone's running around acting all big and bad it's perfectly acceptable to put them in their place. I'm not saying that's what happened here but some people really need to be taught a lesson, even if they are weaker/smaller. You can't have selfish bitches walking around like they own the place, it's too aggravating.
