Amon removes a persons ability to bend. Yet it has never been implicated that this kills the victim. so yes, it is a tragedy to have your bending taken from you unwillingly, but she's still alive, and can still kick as much ass as she wants. i fail to see why everyone is butthurt over her losing her bending. at least she's not dead.

bending is a part of personality. It is unique to the avatar series. It is a part why people watch it. I agree that some people are overreacting to Lin's bending being taken away, because i'm sure she will get it back, yet it is a big shock because she sacrificed her gift to save the man she once loved and to protect his family.

You know what? Lin doesn't NEED bending to kick ass. She still has her Wolverine gloves and her karate skills, and she'll make a comeback. She's too badass to stay down for very long. If she becomes a non-factor, I will find the writers of this show and destroy them.
