Why do people always look down on Nintendo for not making "Hardcore" games?
I've always viewed nintendo as being the more Family Friendly console in the gaming industry.

It has a few good, intense titles thrown in, but in the long run, it seems more like a casual console meant for party games and just to sit back and laugh with your friends as you throw shells at one another.

All nintendo ever do is release the same old game over and over again now a days. You may as well just play OoT or Super Mario 64 as they are all just remakes of those 2

What about the Wii U lineup?

ME3, AC3, ZombiU, Batman Arkham City Armored Edition, Ninja Gaiden 3?

Did everyone but me miss this? I think the lineup for the Wii U looks great. There's a list on Eurogamer if anyone cares.

...Is this gif implying that Mario Zelda and Metroid are hardcore games? lol

They are.

There were some nice games, I agree we haven't got a clue about the new Smash, nor we know about Zelda, Metroid, or what is Retro Studios doing, but gamewise the Nintendo had some nice titles.
Pikmin 3, more Mario and the third party support seemed much better than before.
Nintendoland is what Wii Sports was to the Wii, a starting point for many new people, and it does look fun, exploiting its system's capacities has been always Nintendo's habit.
Also, the gif is really old, try with something better.
Pic always related.

well i guess no one saw assassins creed 3 or batman or zombie u. I would like to say that honestly Nintendo is the only company that thinks of everyone and corners every market so yeah play your Xbox because paying for internet access that you already own is legit. I can sit down and run through most games that are released and if your saying Nintendo rehashes a lot gears of war, god of war. Halo four, call of duty 30 so whatever. ill see you guys when Microsoft and Sony have a screen on their controller

Seriously, who wants a ******* screen on their controller?

implying mario is a hardcore game
User avatar #5 to #1 - trostell (06/06/2012) [-]
Mario is a hardcore game, no doubts. It hides behind the guise of a children's game, but is known for having some just ridiculously difficult challenges. Play Super Mario Bros. and tell me your "hardcore" games like Amnesia stack you up against flying instant death fish out of ******* nowhere, or giant homing cannon shells. Just because it was designed for kids doesn't mean it's a great, and truly challenging, game, for those who are gamers to the core. If all you play are "hardcore" games, you're not a full gamer yet, just another of the sub-types encompassed by the title. A true, complete gamer plays games because they're good, not because of how they're classified. I'll let you talk about hardcore when you get off your Xbox and play older games, the ones designed to be difficult. Try beating the first Ninja Gaiden with no continues, and then talk about how hard Dark Souls is.

There's actually two more games to be announced for the Wii U at the E3, Medium, and a secret Nintendo game.

Despite the fact i am a huge nintendo fan i feel that the over release of mario games is crippling nintendo i mean seriously 4 mario games announced at the conference new super mario 2 and U, paper mario and luigi's mansion. its honestly shameful nintendo need to create a new character or perhaps bring back older characters like ummm ice climbers or something i mean look how successful kid icarus was plus besides all of that i thought the whole of E3 was a let down as it was over hyped with rumors the best conference i believe was ubisoft's did any of you catch ZOMBI U that game honestly looks amazing :).

I don't know why anyone was expecting a new Zelda title to be shown. Skyward Sword just released last November. As for Metroid, I really think that's Retro's secret project.
