You can get a mouse that rumbles but that distracts you form playing efficently so I dont see why you would want a controller that rumbles

I like a little bit of tactile feedback from my weapons in games because so often the sound design isn't enough for me.

Only if you have a modded controller that makes it jiggle like an epileptic alarm clock. Otherwise it's a little buzz every time I shoot, swing, get hit or something big happens. It's like the difference between listening to metal on laptop speakers or with headphones, to me.

That's probably just because you aren't used to using it. As soon as the Rumble Pack came out for the N64 and Dualshock for PS1, I've been playing with rumble. I'm quite comfortable playing PC games and would probably be exclusively a PC gamer if I could afford to, but I would definitely miss having rumble.

If I'm going to buy a gaming PC, I'm going to want it to be high-end enough to play games coming out right now at full or near full settings (not like Crysis, but, like, D3) and continue to do so for the next 4-5 years with a minimum of upgrades. My bro got about a $1200 PC for around $700 because of some friends, plus dual monitors for about $60 (also friends). When I get a job, I'm going to start saving up a bit of money on the side until I can afford a good, gaming quality PC, gonna save up around $1200 and get everything I need through my brother and newegg. Also, no, I probably couldn't get more than about $200 for my 360, maybe $50-$75 for my controllers, if that, and about $250 for all my games. The problem is a lack of dinero.

Yeah, see, I just don't have that kind of disposable income. What money I do have is staying where it is, save for the occasional foray to going out to dinner with friends or seeing a movie in theaters with friends. I need the majority of my money for books in school.

I mean, I have a desktop, but it's about 5-7 years old and was busted by my Mom being an idiot. I have a nice keyboard that I haven't been able to use for over a year (I'm on my laptop) and a prime gaming mouse that I rarely use (My laptop's USB ports stop working if I try to plug in more than one thing at a time and most of the time, I have either a flash drive or my cooling pad plugged in). I play my Xbox on my old widescreen 17" monitor w/ speakers, so I have all the accessories, I just need a job which I'll probably be able to get in the winter (I live in Florida and that's when tourist season begins)

ok, ask the average gamer over the age of like 14 if he prefers Sins of a Solar Empire or Super Mario World, and he will say Mario 9/10 times. Many people say that the SNES is the best gaming device ever, despite the fact that the technology has been outdated for 15 years. PCfags don't seem to realize that TECH SPECS DO NOT ******* MATTER. My Cell Phone has more power than a Super Nintendo, but I would gladly put my phone aside to play F-Zero. ON THE ORIGINAL SYSTEM, NOT on an emulator. It isn't the same. It really boils down to personal preference. I play PC and Console. Get over yourself.

I always hated playstation controllers. I guess it's cause the first console I owned was an Xbox, but I don't like the stick layout, and the handles and triggers. I'm not sure what it is, I just love the 360 controller.

to each his own i guess.

I've always found the Wavebird to be the greatest controller of all time.
Comfortable
Wireless
Huge wireless range
No need to sync it
Can have up to 32 in the same room without interference
Two AAs last ******* forever

The thing is, with consoles there is a lot less troubleshooting to do. With PC you have to worry about if your specs are up to date. Not to mention that a lot of games are designed with consoles in mind, and likewise get better support. look at MW3, it get's fairly regular updates to fix bugs and weapon balance on xbox and PS3, but infinityward couldn't give two ***** about PC.

When PC gamers say they are "the master race" it's no better (if not worse) than the butthurt fanboys that yell at someone for playing on PS3, or the people who hate halo or call of duty. don't be an arrogant douche, and don't tell people how to play video games.

many articles have appeared in the media portraying the Xbox 360's failure rates,[2][3][4] with the latest estimate by warranty provider SquareTrade to be 23.7% nearly three years ago,[5] and currently the highest estimate being 54.2% by a Game Informer survey
its still a really REALLY high failure rate.

GOD ******* DAMN IT. I came to lol at comments, not watch PCfags and Consolefags argue about which virtual buttsex is better. PC is better if you have the cash to pay for the expensive ass equipment and upgrades every 5-6 years, Console is nice if you have less money, like me. (I got my 360 and my 20-something games for under $800) My laptop, which is low end, was $500. It can't run Skyrim, There you go.

That's kind of a bad comparison, considering laptops tend to be overpriced (in your case, really overpriced, rather, ripped off). A $1500 laptop has about the same power as a $700 pc. You pay for the luxury of portability.

As well as the fact that you don't need "expensive ass equipment and upgrades every 5-6 years" buy a newer graphics card every 3 years or so and that's more than enough. That's assuming your rig isn't total ****. Even if it is, and you need to buy a newer processor, it still shouldn't go over $500 (that's if you buy the nicest i7 processor on the market and a very good ati graphics card.). I don't know about you guys, but the ps3 was $600 at launch. I don't want to see what the next console will cost.

But hey, i'm sure it'll be cheaper than those "expensive ass equipment and upgrades"

Its not really more expensive to buy a gaming pc as you are going to have to fork out money to buy a computer anyways, why not simply upgrade it to the point where it can play video games. This means you have a good pc and didnt have to buy a inferior console to play your games.

This guy ^ is right, plain and simple. There's just one thing he didn't throw in there, and its that PC gaming typically isn't for retards. What I mean by this is that most PC gamers build their own setups and if you do that right you wont be paying to much for a nice system. I personally can run almost any game at High to Very High settings on a PC that I built and only paid around $550 for.
