Could you maybe give me a tutorial on how to make it?

1)Grab a rectangle cardboard box.
2)on one side of the box, fold the smaller flaps in first then the bigger flaps
3)Tape the flaps down so it'd look like the picture. The green parts is where you gotta tape.
4)Turn it around and tape the flaps you folded down. The image is when you're looking downwards.
5) Repeat 2-3
6) Make a hole shaped like a circle on either face of the box ( smaller one preferably and circles work best. Rectangles holes makes the circle wobble up and down)
7) Squeeze box a bit to make it easier to press and you're ready !

Probably filled it up using a smoke machine before they started.

You could use regular woodsmoke, so long as you don't burn the box!

I used a smoke machine when teaching but there are alternatives such as burning charcoal or wood.

When the air bursts out of the hole, it displaces the surrounding air outside. The surrounding air swirls around in the shape of a twisting doughnut, conserving energy. The twisting doughnut will carry the original burst of air over some distance before losing its energy due to friction.

What is done to the air inside the box?

Take a cardboard box, cut a circular hole in one side, fill it with smoke, flap the side to launch smoke rings out the hole.

regular smoke, i don't really think it matters. although it would probably be more efficient to use a smoke effect maker thingy
