i dont see how a father and a mother, and their son, could become so many people, it means that the son and the mother had sex and got a baby, or the mother and father must have gotten another daugher or something and they had sex, the baby would then be retarded, and that means we are all retards.

I'm not a christian, but i would guess that God created other people later as well, not just adam and eve, since when cain (one of adam and eve's sons) was banished he had a mark placed upon him to protect him from anyone he came across in his wanderings.

I actually did some research on this once. According to the sources I read, apparently, thousands of years ago when there were far fewer people in the world, there were also far fewer genetic abnormalities. Because there were fewer repressive defects, the odds of incest bearing potato children was far less. So, theoretically, if the story of Adam and Eve was right... it's somewhat possible that they could have populated the world.

Just saying.

Don't take my words as law. It's been about six years since I read that, and it could even be wrong. But still, interesting, eh?

For the life of me, I can't remember exactly which book it was from. Sorry.

ah, no problem. It is interesting because most scientist claim that there was a time span with extremly few homo on the planet.

Interesting as hell if you ask me.

Welcome to Christianity, where the timeline is made up and incest doesn't matter.

You know, if you actually did research, no where in the Bible does it say that Adam and Ever were the only humans that were created. It only said they were the first. How did Cain get a wife if his family was supposedly the only ones on the planet? Christianity believes that Adam and Eve were first, not the only people created.

inb4 A sea of red thumbs.

I actually know this is true, I'm not dumb. However, Ischmael is the father of ALL muslims, and there are similar stories to his where one person is claimed as the forefather to an entire people.
