I shot a G23 once with a 33 rd. mag, and the mag literally exploded, sending debris everywhere. A un-fired round hit me in the face, and the range master had to shut down the range until I could find all the parts. Fucking sucked, man.

If you notice, the chamber that the gas goes into to push back the... hammer?... is really large, like, bigger than the barrel. THAT is why Kalashnikovs (Such as the AK-47) just about NEVER jam. THere is such an abundance of space in that gas chamber that any grit and what-have-you just DOES. NOT. MATTER.
