My Little Pony was originally brought up by a GUY
He wanted My Little Pony to be for little GUYS
so that upper class parents can get their children in horse racing, which is a MALE dominated sport.
My Little Pony however was attracting little girls so they decide to change their marketing plan.
When FiM came out, the show was designed to be entertaining for both child and parent so that the parents can watch without it being bored shit-less.
