That's tesseract. Tesseract is actually 4th spatial dimension version of cube. Hence it's other name, the hypercube.
Tesseract can't be accurately displayed in 3D on 2D screen. That's why it's animated.
Someone might argue that the 4th dimension is time. That's the generally accepted fact. However because in theoretical geometry and mathematics, more dimensions are sometimes used, "spatial" is after the number of dimension to avoid confusion.

I think its a 4-D model of a cube....Yes 4-D, current scientists believe there is a 4th dimension of sight. 4th demention is supposed to be a 3D shadow. The reason we can see it is that out eyes are not strong enough to see it, the dimension is so small we cant see it.
My opinion? It can be there, but if it was what would the 4th axis be?
