I made one of these a few months ago, I managed to kill a bee with it. You honestly have no idea how satisfying that was.

That's nice but I prefer the good ol' spit ball cannon. It's easier to to "build" and to hide
Yardstick + Ruler +Rubber bands = Office sword
Office sword + Office crossbow = Office Knight!
Office sword + Office crossbow = Office Knight!
Incorrect. The crossbow was the most widely used ranged weapon for knights in Holy Rome. It had less range, but it was more powerful and required less dexterity than the regular bow, so it was a perfect first-strike factor in battles. The main reason it was used in warfare was because it could penetrate platemail much deeper than bows. Due to the long reload time, however, it was often used by footsoldiers behind the infantry, and then usually set aside so the archers could then participate in melee combat.
Incorrect. Knights fought on horseback, used the crossbow at mid-range, and fought in close quarters. Should we classify them as the cavalry? No? Then they're archers. Wait, that's not right either... Than they're warriors. No...
You see, knights were multi-functioning soldiers. A man on horseback would have his sword by his side in case he was knocked off his horse. Knights would carry crossbows, fire, and then proceed to fight in close combat. You see, warriors are generally just someone who fights close quarters, archers at long range with a just bow, and cavalry, just on horseback. A knight is none of these. Knights were like the SEALs of their day, they used every tactic in order to accomplish the mission.

Repost, but interesting. i first saw this on FJ more than 2 years ago. it was actually one of my very first favorited posts. but it wasnt a GIF back then.
in my tech. draw. class in HS we made a cross bow out of balsa wood, rubber bands, and rulers that shot a sharpened narrow piece of balsa wood
we shot it across the room a few times, most of them stuck in the wall, then after modifying it a bit more, and shooting it at each other, we got it working good enough to draw blood ... at that point our teacher made us take it apart
