Alright, fitness, I've been in the weight room for the whole winter starting in the fall (October-November). I just recently purchased some protein powder and vitamins to help with gaining weight and muscle. What are some suggestions on when I should use them and how often. I'm 16, 5'11" and 155 lbs if thats of any importance.
Personally, If I am using 2 servings of my protein powder I start drinking it 80 minutes before my workout is supposed to end (I typically go 2 hours). This is based on some sort of test having to do with hydrolized whey protein. Hydrolized is a certain type of whey that is supposed to be absorbed faster (I might be able to find the article if you want), regardless I would recommend sipping the drink beginning from the middle of your work out and then drinking the rest as soon as your lifting is done.
I feel like I don't get quite as tired and can lift harder when I drink mine early on.
