Hi guys,
I need to lose weight, badly. I'm 5'4 and I weigh 12 stone (and a bit). I am suffering from depression and being overweight is one of the main factors to my depression among other things. I've heard a lot about the after-burn affect and that it is quite a good way to lose weight. If anyone could give me some effective, extensive workouts and exercises i would be grateful. Also, I would really like to get rid of my belly fat and build some muscle, abs, biceps, the prominent ones that i can see myself and feel good about. I don't tend to have a lot of money so equipment is pretty much out of the question (I can afford dumbbells etc. if need be). I eat too much and I find it hard to stay motivated but it's got to the point now where I don't have a choice so I'm up for anything. I'm really hoping I can get some detailed workout and exercises targeting these specific areas and issues.
Thanks muchly

First of all:
Drop the sweets: no cake, no candy, no chocolate, no soft drinks.
Drop the flours: no pancakes, no waffles, no cookies, little amounts of bread
Drop the fats: no fried food, no chips.

Drink lots of water. Use fruit as energy if you're tired. Eat fiber (vegetables, oats) if you're hungry. For protein eat unseasoned grilled or roasted chicken with no skin, fish, eggs, very few diary products (milk, cheese).

You're essentially lowering your calorie intake while still eating plenty.

That will help so when you work out, your body needs to use its fat reserves. Try jogging. Lifting of many reps with little weight so you can last long enough to burn more fat. Swimming, biking, walking up stairs helps so you can add variety.

It's more about watching what you eat than any magical exercise.

Avoid situations where you'll eat more calories. Don't buy any processed food nor sweets.
If you have the junk in front of you and feel tempted to eat it, just remember that the taste that will last a few seconds in your mouth is no match to one day looking at yourself in the mirror and thinking that you actually look great and fit.

It works for real. I dropped from 215 lbs to 198 in a bit less than two weeks. Belly's almost flat now and love handles are reduced.
Just testimony that if you stick to your routine and keep a strong will, you'll see the changes sooner than you think.

There is a Nike training app that has tons of workouts that require minimal equipment. It offers videos that teach you exactly how to do each workout. Its a lot of fun and very informative. My friend showed it to me the other day and I just tried it out at the gym today, and had a great workout :) I hope it works for you, good luck! p.s. they have workouts for specific areas. and the app is called Nike training club

Don't start out with extensive workouts. You'll never stick with them. Start with simple workouts and work your way up.
